Welcome to Tales of Crestoria Beginner’s Guide where we share with you all the most important Tales of Crestoria tips and tricks that will help you progress faster and smoother.
Turn Off Friend Auto-Approval Requests
We highly suggest for you to go to the Friends list and then navigate to the Pending tab. There is a button on the upper part of the screen called Auto-Approval and it will be set to ON by default. Tap on it and set it to OFF.
If you keep the auto-approval on, then anybody who sees you will be able to issue a friend request and your account will auto-approve it. You will receive a lot of friend requests from people who are lower level or who might have already quit the game and thus, create a list of weak friends.
Getting powerful friends is extremely useful for power up dungeons or raids because early on, you will not have a full single element team and it’s easier to clear harder power up dungeons by using strong support characters from your friend list.
Include In Your Team At Least 1-2 Characters Who Are Good At Building Up Hit Counter
The hit counter exists for a reason. The more hits your allies perform, the stronger your damage becomes. This becomes essential when using Tales of Crestoria characters like Velvet or Stahn who have high ATK stat but produce a low amount of hits.
Characters like Vicious or Yuri produce a large number of hits with their all of their arts. When going up against strong enemies, use your high hit count producing characters first, so that your hardest-hitting characters can produce even more amazing damage.
Utilize Your Attack Order To Its Fullest Potential
What makes Tales of Crestoria stand out from other gacha games is that you can achieve a lot of different tactics with your turn order. For example, characters which have higher Over Load cost Mystic Artes could be used to deliver finishing blows to enemies, since you get awarded more Over Load than usual and thus, speed up your Mystic Artes activation.
You could also hold off from executing Mystic Artes before a boss goes into BREAK attack mode so you could then unleash everything you got and deliver maximum damage. Finally, if you are all out of artes during combat, use basic attacks that produce the most hits first, so that stronger basic attacks get powered up by the hit counter.
There’s a vast amount of team building options available that will determine what type of tactics you will be able to utilize during combat.
Farm Power-Up Dungeons Whenever You Can
Progressing through the story is always a good idea but your number one focus should be growing your characters and Memoria stones. Each day, three different elemental power up dungeons become available, so keep an eye on those dungeons which correlate to your characters element and dedicate your time to gather their elemental EXP potions.
Don’t forget to farm the Tales of Crestoria Memoria Stone dungeons too, since most of SSR and SR Memoria Stones provide really good raw stats.
Use Codex to determine which characters or Memoria Stones you want to level up
By going into the Tales of Crestoria Codex from the Menu, you will be able to check out every single Memoria Stone and Character that’s available in the game. This is basically the Tales of Crestoria unit list. What’s even better, you will see what characters or Memoria Stones look like at max level and awakening. This will help you to determine if you want to pursue leveling them up.
For example. Yuri’s SSR stone at the max level has really high DEF stat which means leveling it won’t actually boost your damage output by that much. On the other hand, Stahn’s Memoria Stone at the max level provides a whopping 2550 ATK without any additional adornments. Stahn himself at the max level has 3930 ATK so his Memoria Stone basically gives 65% of Stahns max level ATK.
Participate In Tales of Crestoria Raids As Early As Possible
There are two energy systems in the game – AP and BP. AP is mostly used for any type of activity in the game, including starting your own raid whereas BP is used to give aid in other player raids. Think of BP as co-op energy points.
Every time your account reaches a new rank, you get awarded 10 BP. Your BP stops regenerating only 10 points so go and aid in as many Tales of Crestoria raid battles as possible. You will have a chance to earn valuable books to increase your character art skill levels and more importantly, you will gain materials required to ascend your characters which increases their max level.
The difference between starting your own raid and joining one is that you are guaranteed to receive at least once from the promised pool of rewards when starting your own raid whereas when aiding in raids, you could end up not getting any rewards. But you will always obtain some amount of Silver Medals which can be exchanged for SR Memoria Stones and other goodies.
Don’t Awaken Your Characters By Using Their Memoria Stones
It’s a little deceiving but you might have noticed that any time you go to Awaken tab of any character you are always able to awaken them if you obtained them. This is because you obtain character from their Memoria Stone.
If you decide to awaken that character for the first time, you will consume their Memoria Stone and thus be left without the actual Memoria Stone which gives passive bonuses and raw stats. This is especially crucial because of how hard it is to obtain SSR Memoria Stones and its always better to use the character without awakening it once and keeping their Memoria stone to equip in the party or sub stone grid.
Convert Duplicate Rare Memoria Stones To Redeem EXP Potions
If you want to quickly level up characters and progress faster in the game then go to Allies, Memoria Stones, and then select from the lower-left corner the Convert button. If you have any duplicate Rare Memoria Stones, you can select them and convert them into Silver Shards.
By acquiring these shards, you can go to the Exchange shop and obtain very useful resources such as a Large Rainbow Elixir which gives massive amounts of experience points and can quickly speed up your character’s leveling progress, especially if their element power up dungeon is unavailable during that day.
Progress Through Tales of Crestoria Arena
A lot of people dislike PvP in gacha games because of how unfair it can get sometimes. However, by not doing Arena, which is Tales of Crestoria PvP, you are missing out on some serious awards. First of all, after each arena battle, you can obtain rainbow leveling materials for both your characters and Memoria Stones.
Then there are weekly ranking awards which give Gleamstones and reaching even the lowest rankings give a couple of hundred of those. Finally, by battling in the arena you obtain Tales of Crestoria Arena Medals which can be exchanged for Arena Summon tickets from where you can summon for more Memoria stones and even potentially unlock the exclusive Chronos Memoria Stone and Character.
That’s it for this guide. We’ve mentioned many useful and important tips that will help you progress fast in Tales of Crestoria. Most importantly, don’t ignore Tales of Crestoria PvP and collect rewards from power-up dungeons to level up your characters.
There’s a Tales of Crestoria Unit list that you can access from the Codex where you will see all characters and Tales of Crestoria Memoria Stones. Finally, do not ignore Tales of Crestoria Raid battle system or you will seriously lose out on some awesome rewards.
